Once upon a time in a modern-day mall, a small store suddenly appeared that seemed out of place amongst the Parkway Plaza stores. The store was called “The Dragon Store” and it was run by a dragonborn sorceress named Nala. Nala was not like any dragonborn they had ever seen before. She was small in stature, with bright purple scales, and had a friendly and welcoming demeanor. She filled her store with all sorts of dragons and things that dragons like of course, such as gemstones, incense burners, statues, books, and other small treasures.
The mall-goers were surprised to see a creature from their fantasies running a store in the middle of El Cajon. At first, the mall-goers were hesitant to enter The Dragon Store, but after a while, they were drawn in by the colorful and unique fantasy items on display. Nala was pleased to hear so many people say it was the best store in Parkway Plaza, and delighted when they later brought their friends. Nala’s store was a reminder that sometimes the little things bring the most joy and wonder to our lives.

Nala’s backstory: Nala is a dragonborn sorceress, who loved sharing her shiny trinkets with all of her human and animal friends. Nala was the first of the three dragonborn hatchlings, eager to meet her rowdy brother, Blaze, and her regal sister, Freya. Which of the eggs did Nala come out of? The sparkliest one, of course! How could you ask such a silly question?
Nala began her first adventure in the mystical forest of Everwylde. Here, she found plenty of cute animals to be her friends! But most importantly, Nala met a kind forest witch that offered her one wish. Nala proudly wished for her scales to always be shiny, beautiful, and sparkly just like a sapphire dragon. The spell was cast, and Nala possessed magical powers from then on!
With her newfound magical powers, Nala began to go on quests with all of her brand-new friends. When she came across a copper dragon’s lair filled with all sorts of sparkly treasure, she knew one day she would want a lair just like it! Nala gave the dragon a crystal from her collection, and they to became friends.
On one adventure, Nala came across a small bag in the middle of the marketplace. When she picked it up, an angry pixie flew out and told Nala to put down its shop! To make amends, Nala offered the fairy an acorn from Mystic Pond. The Pixie loved the mystic acorn, and currently travels with Nala on most of her adventures. They can go anywhere through a pair of magical portals scattered throughout the land. In fact, one of these portals have been spotted in El Cajon, California, in The Dragon Store in Parkway Plaza Mall and another has been spotted at Off The Shelf Games in Parkway Plaza’s East Village.
